How to Apply a Canadian Proof of Citizenship & Passport for New Born

Hello All,

Can anyone give me some info & advice how to applying the Proof of Citizenship and passport for the baby born outside of Canada and one of the parent is a Canadian Citizen.

hi my kids were born outside Canada and was born to a Canadian mother I just applied for a citzenship and had it within 6 months.

Its not something that you need to worry about if one of the parents are Canadaian than it shound be ok.

Thanks thisdj1! Did you apply inland or abroad? I am expecting my new born in April and I will applying abroad, do you know what extract forms and document they need from the new born?

hi I live in the UK and I just applied in London (Canadian Embassy) it was really easy just download the form from there website

You need to get the citizenship before you can apply for the passport.
