Page 6 of the checklist where it says "if you did not answer yes to all four (4) of the questions, also provide"

And then it says "one (1) document from three (3) of the following sets of option"

The only one I was fill out is the last one where it says "other proof that your relationship is recognized by your friends and/or family (e.g. Letter, social media information showing a public relationship, etc)

How do I fill ANSWER the rest of these if we are not living together? We are applying Outland so we don't have joint bank accounts or utility bills etc together

Do I just skip it and go to the part where it says "if you are not living together, also provide:" and complete that?

Would a joint bank account help out?

Also, would a letter explaining why we can't come up with all these documents be okay to send with our package?

Anyone? I'm stressing about this
I empathize with your position. No one really has any answers yet as VOs are just starting to get the new applications coming in. What they will or won't be willing to accept as proof for people who are in your position (and it's the position I'm in, I was just lucky enough to have been able to apply under the old kit) remains to be seen. The instructions don't seem very clear to me. My advice would be to provide the proof in the categories that you can, and in areas where you're unable to provide proof because you don't live together, provide an explanation as to why you don't have those things.

Technically I could have added my husband to my lease, for instance, even though he's not living down here with me, but it would have ended up costing me money - I would have had to re-lease the apartment for a longer term, with him having to pay fees for them to background check him, and it also would have resulted in my rent increasing. And my utilities aren't even in my own name because when I moved a few years ago I just transferred the existing accounts that belonged to my mom to the new address. I'm an authorized user on them, but didn't want to go through the hassle of getting them in my own name, as in one case my bill would have gone up because I was under a promo package for bundled services.

Provide the best options you can and hope that they understand that people who aren't living together won't have many of those things.

I am going to provide as much as I can and include a letter explaining why I can't include some things. It's a contradicting question because the next question reads "if you are not living together, Also provide"

You need to chill out, have some patience and stop bumping your own thread. People give their time for free on this forum. If you are that desperate for an answer, hire a lawyer.

Even with a lawyer, we're in new territory with the proof of relationship stuff with this new kit. A lawyer might not even know exactly what they want, or how they'll handle cases where couples are not able to provide proof from the categories they want.

At best, people can give you limited advice. The advice I gave you is very similar to the advice people have been given since the new application kit came out. The bottom line is that no one knows what CIC is going to do with regard to couples who cannot provide the proofs listed. I completely understand your concern, but the fact is no one actually knows, so no one has a concrete answer for you. At best people will start getting asked for more proof (or finding out the limited proof and explanations they provided are acceptable when they don't get asked for more) within the next few weeks or so. But it's going to take time. It wouldn't surprise me if over the next year they start revising the proof they ask of couples who are not living together, as they'll find many of those couples have difficulty providing anything from within the given categories and are all providing alternate proof.

I know this probably isn't the answer you want to hear. But many of us had unanswered questions when we sent our applications off, even before the new kit came out. If they want more information or proof, they *will* ask.

I find it confusing how they ask for this information and then the next question is "if you do not live together, also provide"

It's unlikely that your application would be returned due to lack of proof of relationship documentation. As long as you're providing explanations for what you can't provide and proof from any categories that you can, that should be fine. When they start reviewing the application after sponsor approval, when it gets to the visa office, they may ask you for more at that point. Applications are generally returned for not signing all the forms, not filling out a form completely, etc. I suppose if someone sent literally no proof of relationship stuff with the application, it might get returned. But as long as you're providing what you can, as completely as you can, I cannot imagine it would get sent back.

Oh brother, calm down. It says right at the top "...submit the documents relevant to your situation."

If you check "No", that documentation is not relevant to you. Follow the checklist below the black outline box.
