Hi seniors,

I have few questions and concerns regarding PR application as below

Recently I had a baby born in Canada after receiving ITA last week, I have not submitted my PR application yet.

1) How to add Newborn baby detail in PR application (Which sections need to be updated like family info)?
2) What documents need to be uploaded for newborn(Canadian Passport and birth certificate)
I will get my Newborn baby birth certificate in 2-3 days from now as I registered birth certificate last week. May be Passport will take around 20 days.
3)I had updated family info about family addition, even though I am not getting any list of documents for a newborn in PR documents uploads. Can you advise?

Or do I need to send an email to CIC Ottawa regarding newborn baby before submitting PR application?

Thanks in advance.

In the PR application, after receiving an ITA, Have you completed the questionnaire where it asks you about personal informations including how many family members do you?

If you haven't completed your questionnaire yet, you will be able to add your newborn baby's information in the application after completing that questionnaire.

But If you have already completed that questionnaire and haven't mentioned/calculated your baby in it, they will not generate any forms for you to provide your baby's information.

In that case, you can fill out all the forms for you, your spouse and any other family members(if you have any and mentioned them).
As for your newborn baby, apply for your baby's birth certificate and you can simply mention his/her (your baby's) details in Letter of Explanation (letter is in pdf, so if possible, you can also add birth-certificate in it).

You do not need to provide passport for your baby in the application process, birth-certificate will be enough for Canadian citizen (I believe you want your new-born to be a Canadian citizen), so you can take your time to get a new-born passport unless you are traveling outside Canada with your new-born soon.

I believe AP_India_Canada is not talking about getting a PR for his/her new born child. But it is mandatory to provide facts when you are applying for PR.
No one wants to take a chance to get a refusal for misrepresentation of information.

Thanks Guys for your quick reply. I am relieved with your reply.

the exact scenario as below.

That's right, I am taking her Canadian citizenship for my Newborn.I applied for a birth certificate , will receive in 2-3 days and then I will apply for a Canadian passport for a newborn.

Only concern is newborn related document list is not shown in upload document section in PR application.
I already completed questionnaire of personal details and family details for me and my wife and my older child, that I had mentioned at the time of Express entry profile,

Now, I had filled the name of a newborn in my Family information, in my wife family information and my older child family information in PR application, but after continue button, no documents list is showing related to my newborn in the upload document section.still its the same as earlier details.

since I am planning to take my child Canadian passport and birth certificate and upload those in PR application to ensure no confusion for CIC agent to review my PR application.

Thanks,

adding one more question, Since Newborn documents are not displayed as I had filled the questionnaire already.

1) If I click start again PR application, will this help to enter newborn child as I will be adding one more family member?

2) At the time of express entry profile creation, I filled fund amount field '20000' as of 3 member family.
Since I got now 4 family members after ITA, So my question is, Can I change fund amount as '0' as I have a valid job in Canada. So no need to show any proof of funds?

Thanks,

Thanks,
You are worrying too much. LOE is the best way to talk to your visa officer. You can let your visa officer know about your situation. Trust me they read it very carefully, you can simply add a paragraph in LOE as below :

To - Visa officer
Sub - New born baby after ITA.

I would like to inform you that my new born son/daughter has born on ----date----, while I was preparing for PR application after getting an ITA. I have been trying to mention him/her in my application but somehow System is not letting me provide her information by not generating any forms for him/her. I have added his/her birth-certificate below. I am going to apply to get a new passport for him/her soon. Please let me know if you need any extra information or documents, I will be happy to provide you.

Thanks,
1) I have not re-started any application so I have no idea about it. People who have done it, should comment on that.

2) Since you have a valid job in Canada, you don't need to show funds to support your family.

Personal opinion -> You don't need to change your amount from 20000 to 0, unless you don't have it anymore in the bank account, than change it to what you have. I have heard on this forum --- "The system currently asks all applicants to provide a proof of funds document. If you don’t need to provide proof of funds, you must upload a letter explaining either that you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, or that you have a valid job offer"

Thanks Can_Indian !!!!

Yes, I was worried as I heard that any missing info that creates confusion to Visa Officer resulting refusing of application.

I noted down your valuable inputs and follow this.

Thanks again.

Dear Friends,

I am nominated applicant from SINP PNP and I have sent my application CIC with fund of 17k now after submitting the file our newborn baby arrived and we want to add the baby into the application. Now as per CIC requirement fund has to be 19k.

Can anyone give me an idea how do I inform the CIC that I have maintained the fund 19 since 3 months now?

What form do I need to submit?
