how the age period is calculated

my wife bithday is 01/june/1962 and by this time that is to day it is 10/November/2017,so her age is 55yrs+5month and 9 days ,i just want to know for citizenship application how they calculate age ,they have mention that between 18-54yrs test is must suppose if i will apply for my wife she had to face test or she will be exempt for test,pl reply

It would be her age at the date of application. If you have not submitted an application, then she is over 54, so no language requirement.
