Hi all,

We are from Vietnam. MY family want to apply visitor visa and will go to Canada in Feb'16. Can I apply visa now? Or it is too soon to apply visa? How long is suitable time to apply visa? Any time requirement for visa apply, eg: let say only allow to apply visa before 3 or 6 months.

Thanks for your advise

You can apply whenever you want.

Of course depending on your specifics it is advisable to apply sooner or later, for example if your case is strong then you can apply anytime, if your case is weak, then you would have to submit evidence of the trip plans and an itinerary. The more documents you need the tougher is to get them so in advance.

Hi,
I have a question.... I applied for a visitor visa to canada on 14 june 2015 (papers application) but never got any confirmation. I have a myCIC account which is empty.

The online tracking system says that visa office has received my application, How can I confirm that they have received my application?????

Hi Jalex23,

I would lie apply visa soon because we don't know exactly processing time ( a few got visa in few week but a few got visa in few month) and we may have refusal visa and need to re-apply. As your advise we have no problem to apply visa soon before more than 6 months.

Is it empty or does it have the "application received" information?

If it says application received in myCIC then that is you r confirmation.

It does not say application received and it was a paper application, so it was not linked to myCIC account. I have just send my application to visa office n now waiting for reply.

Is there anything i need to worry about???

This depends on each visa office. Some confirm by email, some confirm by mail, some do not confirm at all. You have to look for relevant information to your case.

Usually embassy's do not process TRVs. Nonetheless if that is the case there is of little use going, embassy hearings need an appointment, if not then you will not be allowed passed the gate.
