How much will be my points for IELTS score?

Hi All,

I have got following score in IELTS. How many points will I get with this score? I have given exam on 15th March 2014. Is there any change in calculation after 1st April 2014? Please advise. Thanks!

R: 8.5
W: 6.5
S: 6

Total = 19 points.

And NO - there aren't any changes with scoring based on the latest information from CIC

Your welcome - actually I made a mistake at my response - I wrote 19 points but you are right, it should be 21!

Your score is too low for FSW. You need to score a minimum of 6 in each category. If you submit this result with your FSW application you will be automatically refused.

Why, isn't 5.5 evaluated to some points like 3 ??

Because if you are immigrating to Canada as a skilled worker, you need to be able to demonstrate a minimum level of English or French proficiency to be able to continue in your profession in Canada.

A score of 5.5 gets you zero points for that category and also makes you ineligible to apply for FSW.

Those are the rules. It's really that simple.
