Hi all,
I am Priyesh. I have applied for study permit to pursue doctoral degree almost 4 months ago. I was asked to go for medical examination by Canadian High Commission (CHC), in which some problem was reported in my X-ray test. So CHC asked me to take sputum test, x-ray after 3 months of the 1st medical examination and to consult chest physician. As per there instruction, I have taken sputum test, x-ray test after 2.5 months (after a request to CHC to expedite the process) and then consulted the chest physician. My sputum test results are negative, x-rays shows stable lesions and chest specialist had concluded that there is no sign of active T.B. and the spots which are being seen in chest x-ray are probably due to some lung infection in my childhood. After this I have submitted my passport on 29th August and my DMP had sent my medical report on 3rd September. Till date (complete 7 working days) there is no update on my visa and after waiting so long, now I am running out of patience mainly because I am going to lose my job and have no idea about visa.
Also, can anyone tell me what is the procedure to cancel the visa application because now I am having some reservations about my decision to pursue higher studies at Canada and if there is no update on visa within 1-2 days.
I would also like to suggest the aspirants who want to pursue higher studies to put Canada as there last option and don't make the mistake, which I did, of declining down the offer from other country for Canadian university.
Regards,
Priyesh
