Just wondering about the letters from family and friends acknowledging the validity of the relationship

I am getting letters from both our parents, (so 4 letters there)
my close friend (5)
and was considering asking 2 more friends

is this enough? too much?

I know you need 2 of them notarized and that is no problem I will have our parents notarize theirs, so I will have 4 notarized.

How many did you include in your application,

Thanks!

We had 6 letter in total. Quality letter will be better than quantity.
Parents = perfect
Sibling = perfect
close friends = Good
Friends = ok, for our application we skipped

Ok, thanks!

So maybe I'll just go with both of our parents and 1 close friend, making it 5 letters

Are you common-law or married? If common-law, what matters much more is actual proof of your 1 year cohabitation, such as a lease in both your names, bank statements in both names for 1 year, mail to the same address for 1 year and so on.

The letters are a nice addition but they aren't enough alone.

Common law

And yes, we have all of that stuff, plenty in fact, so that's not an issue

I just had the impression they wanted proof of relationship aswell as proof of cohabitation
like photos, messages etc.

Good to know the letters aren't too important,
Cheers!

Yes, they want proof of cohabitation, and proof that the relationship is genuine. So I would send in the letters you mentioned. Five isn't too many.

We sent 7 letters with our application.

And we're married lol.

The more proof the better.

There is a letter requirement in the application? :o I didn't see it anywhere...unless this is country specific? :S
I think it's only required for common law but I'm not sure.
For married couple it's not mandatory but can help for proof of relationship :)
