I got the communication from visa office to submit our passports for granting visas. The communication letter states that we must land to canada before the expiry date that would be mentioned on our visas. Can anyone tell me how long is the visa validity generally? (1 year?, 6 months?, 2 years?, 3 months?)

i think for PR, its 1 year or when you medical expires, which ever comes quicker.

I guess your medical will always expire before a year, so your visa will be valid until then to land.

1 year from the date of the medical or the expiry of the passport, whichever comes first.
