How much is proof of funds for a visitor 60 days ?

Hi everyone I hope this forum will be able to help .

My friend is a Filipino and is working in Bangkok , Thailand , as a teacher.

His cousin is living in Toronto and he has received an invitation letter from her , to come on a visit for 30 days . They will pay for flight ticket and acccomodation .

From my understanding he needs to show proof of funds from the last 3 months bank statement before he can get a temporary visitor visa .

His monthly teacher salary in Bangkok is not high ($600 CDS) , so I have decided to help him financially and transfer money to his bank account in Thailand. And then he can keep the money on his account until he will get his visa.

So I would like to know how much funds he would need to show immigration for a 60 day visit.
