How much gap is ok between jobs for Continuous Work Experience for FSW Express Entry?

It depends on situation. If this experience is not making any affect on your CRS score, why to take risk.

Otherwise also, I would suggest to show it from Mar’18 only.

Good day all. I started working March 2018 but my appointment letter is dated 8th January, 2018. My payslips also state March 19th as the date of appointment rather than January because that was when I started getting paid. Which one of the dates should I use when filling my Express entry form since I'm not submitting a reference letter for this job?

2. Should I enter the pool in January or March to avoid being banned for misrepresentation?

I have 1 years experience from September 2013-2014. Then I have 2 years gap I stayed at home with my newborn child from 2014-2016. Then I worked again from August 2016-August 2018. Does this count up as 3 years in total or as 2 years continuous work experience? All of the experience was in full time, 8 hours a day.

1 year continuous experience is required to make u qualified for FSW provided u worked 30 hrs/week over the span of 52 weeks which u got from sept. 2013 to sept. 2014.
Then for EE u need 2 years of experience To max out for crs which u have from August 2016 to August 2018 in addition of your prior 1 year experience.

So u will max out for experience in EE profile and ur gap won’t be an issue

Nobody can answer that question, it would depend on the VO whether they consider the break in continuity substantial enough to make you ineligible. We've seen people with gaps of 2 or 3 weeks get through but again, there's no guarantees.

Here is my Work Experience Summary:
Job 1 --> June 2014 - June 2015 (India)
Job 2 --> May 1, 2017 - Feb 28, 2018 (US)
Job 3 --> March 19, 2018 - Till Date (US)

Can you please let me know your suggestions on which would be better approach for showing 1 year of continuous work experience : Scenario 1 or 2

Scenario 1:
Use Job 1 as continuous work experience and show job 2, 3 as additional experience.

NOTE: Has Gap of 18 days (unemployed) in between jobs

The experience letter for this job does not have the roles and responsibilities as required by CIC. Should i get a letter from my manager (whom i was reporting to) stating roles and responsibilities and get it notarized and attach it along with the Experience Letter (which has the Designation, Period, Pay etc).

If Scenario 2:
Can you please let me know your suggestions on how to justify the gap of unemployment while moving from Company A to Company B. Should i show that under personal history as unemployed !! Should i tell about the gap in Letter of Explanation !

Also, when filling Express Entry Profile - it is asking -->
In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation.
What should my response for this be -
1 year (since 2014 - 2015 was only continuous)

In my case, I did not claim points for work experience of job 2 and job 3.
Job 1 was for 1 year without any gap - which will serve the minimum eligibility requirement for express entry.

So i declared these 18 days as unemployed in person history.

Hi Team,

I was working with a software company from 5th Feb 2018 and will be completing 1 year in 5th Feb 2019. But had a break in employment on August 15 to 31 for 2 week as I got released from the project and was put on a LOP for 2 weeks till I got a new project. After that I got a new project and started getting salary from September onward from the same company. I don't have a salary slip in the mentioned time period since my salary was not processed for the August second pay

The question is whether this will affect my PR Application by considering this 2 weeks as break in employment?

Should I wait till mid of February 2019 to submit the profile so that I can include the payslip for Feb as well in order to compensate for the payslip?

I Have a critical question about gaps in employment

I have 4 months paid full time work ex in Company A (rank 1 training phase 1)

1.5 month gap

4 months 28 days paid fulltime work ex in Company A ( rank 1 training phase 2)

11 months gap ( promotion exam )

2.9 years full time paid work ex in Company A (rank 2)

This work ex is under the same NOC but different ranks
How it will be calculated?

Can anyone please help to calculate work experience? Because I have gap in work experience.

Completed study in June 2011.

First job (full time) : Sep 2011 - May 2013, (20 Months), (Job title : Research Associate in Pharmaceutical company)
Second Job (Full time) : May 2013 - Jan 2015 (20 Months), (Job title : Senior Associate in Pharmaceutical company)

Gap from Feb 2015 - Feb 2018 (3 years) (In these 3 years, I have tried to setup my business. However I failed miserably. And I dont earned single penny, so I dont have any transaction to show)

Third job (Full time) : March 2018- Present (15+ months) ( Job title: Business Executive (Medical representative in Pharmaceutical company), (Although it is Pharmaceutical company, the job role (Sales) is different from my two previous jobs)

My questions are :

1) Does the work experience of 2011-2015 suffice to claim 3+ years of work experience in CRS?
2) Does the GAP affects CRS score?
3) My current job have different roles and responsibility and just have 1 year of experience, Would they consider recent experience?

Hello guys/moderators here. I'm stuck with my work experience, Before EE eligibility i need to first qualify under the Minimum Requirements i.e. 4-5 yrs experience so i can get 67/100 in the FSW.
I'm 37, Bachelor Degree, with language 8,7,7,7. Will the break up below constitute the 4-5 yrs experience. Please help guys.....I was working in NOC 4021 between

1) Feb 2012 – Nov 2015 (1st company: employee/ full time) 3yrs 9 month
2) Jan 2016 – April 2016 (2nd company- contract/full-time/9hr-5 days per week.) 4 months
3) Sep 2016 - Sep 2016 (5 day contract/ 9hrs): I know this is good as nothing

Total Years in NOC 4021: 4 yrs 1 month

Need your help...please
