Hi,

I cleared the interview and interviewer asked me to send the revised application. Initially, when I've submitted the application, In the form I've mentioned funds as $50,000. Later I purchased some properties. According the following link - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled /funds.asp, it says that a family of four needs $20,654. Now that I need to send the updated application, I'm not sure how much amt I've to quote. And also one of the link says that when we land in Canada, we have to show the proof of funds to the immigration officer.

Could anyone plz advise.

Thank you

Dear

I suggest you to go through the proof of funds link once again and have more clarity on the issue.

Cutting things short, u have to prove that u r able to carry funds as per requirement of CHC. As long as u r able to maintain the required amount, it is good to go. In addition, what i suggest that, just share the changes in status of your funds with CHC (to reconcile your original claim of USD 50,000) and assure that atleast minimum required funds are still in liquid form whereas only additonal amounts are invested else where.

At the time of landing, u need to show the proof by way of either Cash or Demand draft or Travellers' cheque (ideal means). In case of mere cash, if it is more than CAD 10,000, must fill the declaration form (available on all flights to Canada) before landing and hand it to Immigration officer.
Hope u hv better insight on your worries now ;D
