How many times can I extend my visitor visa?

Immigration officers who I have asked about this told me there is an unlimited amount of times that I can do this. Have you guys heard of this before? I need to stay here a few more months because my passport and other forms of identification were stolen.

Correct - there is no official limit to how many times you can apply to extend your visitor visa.

However sooner or later you should expect the extension to be refused. It's up to the visa officer processing your application to decide if the extension request is approved or not.
