How many month before travel date I can submit my application for TRV

Ive been invited to attened a competition in June 2020. Any one know if I can apply online in October 2019 or it would be too early.

Is it a problrm if I apply 6-7 month before my travel date?

Is there any time line between travel date and submiting an application. Acording to the CIC website the processing time is 37 days.

You should try 3 months in advance. He seems to have to have lots of competitions in Canada. It will also depend on his ties to his home country. If the majority of his family is in Canada his chance of approval decreases. It is unclear whether you, his sister and your parents are in Canada and whether you have filed for asylum. Even if you apply before the competition date there are no guarantees of admission. What kind of competition is this and what level of expertise?
