how many medicines to carry??

Being mom of 2 kids, who often get sick in winters, I would like to carry certain drugs like antibiotics, flagyl, antihistamines, fever drugs, painkillers, bandages, topical creams etc, and each of them almost 10( as 5 for each kid ). I wonder if almost 40 or more syrups would reach there safe or will I be allowed to carry such drugs without specific prescription??? I heard of boxes being thrown so there is chance of spill.

If i plan to get temporary insurance of kids, will I still be needed these drugs or will that be provided to me there?

Last query, how to carry breakable crockery in luggage?

any amount with prescription on Doctors letter head............put them all in checked baggage...........
I put all in checked baggage ........... they didnt ask for any prescription while screening.

Now here is what I am worried about. I am going to take them PROPHYLACTICALLY with no doctor prescription. So will that be allowed even in that sense with over 40 syrups and few orals medicines too

try to take prescription.........what i did was,,,i just took 3 letter heads and wrote all meds by my self on it...........no stamp
