How long will CIC take to return my passport?

Hi,

I sent my passport to the below address as part of my passport request. The email said it was the final request and i dont know what this means. Does it mean my PR application got approved? How long does it take for CIC to process and send back my passport? I need to travel to US in a couple of months.

i also couriered my passports to this address on 25th Sep..was speaking to someone in this forum whose passport came back in 3weeks..but he also suggested that it is now taking longer

the final request means last request to get the PR VISA (golden e-mail), your passport
once they receive your passport
2-3 weeks for approval
1-2 weeks for sending passport back

After they receive your passport(s)
max 5 weeks
2-3 weeks for approval

Hello did you get your passport back? I am in a similar situation. It' been 8 weeks for me

Passport most times only stays with Immigration for 5-10days from my experience,My Visa date was 14th which means assuming am dealing directly with Immigration/embassy,my Passport would've been been available for collection on 15/16th.However, the handling agent VFS despite my constantly going to their Offices to check only handed over the Passport on 29th(15 days later)

I got ITA on 28th June, 2017 and I applied for PR on 29th August, 2017. After 1 month my medical approved but since then no reply beck from IRCC.

I have sent my passport and the 2 photo copies along with the annex form which was received by the CIC on January 5th. I am a bit worried because the status of my application is still as "In Progress" and i have not received any communication from the CIC since then. Also, my return tracker is not activated yet. Could any of you please advice on this.

Sent my passport on 9 th dec, 2017
They recieved it on 14 th dec , 2017
I got it back with copr on 12 th Jan , 2018
