I recently received my AIP for Spousal sponsorship application. Now I was requested to submit my medical information and police clearance. Does anyone have any idea how long this whole process might take after I submit the requested information? My papers are processed at cpc-v.

i understand that if you send with your application the MEdical and Criminal Information along with all other evidence and proof that your relationship is Bona Fide it increases the speed of your application and increases the likelihood of getting first stage approval straight from Vegreville without really going through the hell of the local office ......specially if u live in Scarborough.

I thought what you said was true but I am on the same situation as exquisite. actually i submitted everything from medical to criminal record even couple of weeks ahead of his. i haven't gotten my AIP and he did. we both also have applied for refugee status.

No need to worry I am sure that you will get yours sooner than later. In truth it costs them more to send us out than process our papers especially if we continue to be peaceful productive members of society, This may be too optimistic but I think with the promised immigration reform in the US Canada will be under pressure too to regularize all people in here and there is precedent for that so I am hopeful that soon we will be ok, for now lets stay optimistic that things will change. Maybe there will be an election soon and the Liberals will help us ( though I never trust politicians )

can you tell me what was the time line on yours? i called CIC earlier. they say it's a case to case basis. i know it is. but i'm hoping it won't take a year for that. i just sent my open work permit extension from my refugee claim. i was hoping that i will be applying for open work permit with my sponsorship.

i have applied for H and C , however I am doing an inland application some time this summer probably end of July that is when me and wifee are getting hitched. So I am here to get ideas and share some as well. As for my H an C app I placed it last year in July it was transfered to the local office in Scarb and I have been waiting since. I know it may be 4-5 years for that route to work so hopefuly the inland will work sooner. If not I think it may be better to leave the country and do it outland. being a failed claimant is really messed up I am going to skool and working fuul time as well paying intl tution fees and all that but there is no help. hopefully things will turn up remember to keep hope alive

you were also a refugee claimant! so as exquisite. i'm actually thinking of asking for my employer to give me AEO or job offer to get a different work permit as what i have now for my refugee. i think you should do outland if that's not gonna mess up your schedule here. that also depends on where you're from so that you know the time line. what i think is best ( i might be wrong) is to do it outland and once you've recieved some approval to then that's when you go back to your country. so you still get to work while waiting.

Its been a while since I have been here..I went for my hearing in November of 2006 and got the letter of Denial in 2007 January from the IRB ....I am from Zimbabwe things are still a bit unstable there.....well I am in skool here and are almost done with my BA also I have a good job that my employer plans on promoting me once I am done with skool hopefully the SIN number with a 9 wont be a hindrance...
