How long to get COPR from Ottawa?

Hi there, my application status says Decision Made on Application with this note:

We sent you correspondence on May 5, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

We sent a complete application, and the applicant is visas exempt. So am I correct to assume this is a standard notice and the correspondence will already include COPR?

It was processed in Ottawa VO. How long should it take to get it in Brazil? Folks who've already gotten this, is it typically sent regular mail or courrier? Thanks a bunch.

unless something has changed for recent applications, that is not standard language for COPR. This looks more like they sent some sort of document request. Have you checked the email accounts for both the applicant and sponsor? If something was sent physically, it goes through regular mail, so it takes as long as it takes for regular mail to go from ottawa to brazil. If it was sent May 5, I suspect it will take at least another week. You can also try calling CIC to see if they can see in their system what was sent.

You're correct, I just confirmed they sent a passport request. I thought my partner was visa exempt because she has 2 passports, an EU passport which is what she used to visit in Canada, and a Brazilian passport which is what she used to apply. Because her app got sent to Ottawa VO I thought they were considering her visa exempt, but apparently that's not the case. They asked her to send her passport to Sao Paulo VO.
