How long to get an FBI clearance?

I used to followup with this email address - liaison @ leo.gov.

Provide below details to save back n forth email because they do ask for it.

Full Name
DOB
Lasy 4 digits of your SSN
Type of application - I said Criminal background Check
Date your application was submitted (date of confirmed delivery from Canada Post)
Daytime phone no. where you can be reached.

Also not to discourage you...but mine took 4 weeks when I applied 2 years back. I had to apply one last year, and it didnt come for 6 weeks, so I emailed them. They were kind enough to resend one more copy right away by speed mail that arrived in 3-4 days.

So if you followup, they will email you a fast copy since yours is a long delay.

I was out of town. Saw ur other post. Hope u were able to get HD of them. Felt bad knowing their response. Very unprofessional. Once you email them the new form ask them to speed post the new letter. All the best.

You need to go to the nearest commissioner office with the letter from CIC..they will do cheap fingerprint...500rs...you need to use the FBI sheet...print it from online. Then mail that with credit card info to FBI.

There are private service providers as well..but they charge extra...and sometimes they can smudge it...police are experts in fingerprints.
