How long time does ICC take to give you news for the first time

Hi,

It's been 5 weeks since the ICC received my application for a sponsored wife. I don't still have any news, I don't have UCI either, should I be worried? how long time does it take for them to contact the first time and give you news about your application and how???

Make sure you join your month and type of application
Ex. May 2018 Outland or May 2018 Inland

And watch the tracker. :) Can help with piece of mind seeing where IRCC is up to with applications
