How long the processing office take to make PR decision? Do they call employer?

Hello All,

I received my pnp nomination on 10/21/2013
Submitted it to fed gov 24/12/2013
Got my file number on 3/2/2014
Asked for medical and RPRF on 6/2/2014
Now I m just waiting for them to start process it... :'(

My question is:

What do they do when start to look at it?
Do they call the employer?
Do they get in touch with you requiring more info?

Please anyone that has know the process explain me!

Normally they dont call if you inland applicant.i am on they boat as yours.
Recieved file feb 03 2014
Medical,pcc and rprf on march 06 2014.
Waiting for next step.

My employer is reorganizing the business. It could (hopefully not) end up laid off people.
Am I risking if I m no longer employed there?
