How long it will take to process the application for Family Class Sponsorship ?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know what is the latest average time taken for the canada government to process and approve the application for Family Class Sponsorship ? A Canadian husband sponsors a wife from Hong Kong. Many thanks for your help !

There is no ETA and no Rough Timeline. Average right now is about 12 - 16 Months for Outland Applications. Diff countries vary. USA and India seem to be the fastest for Outland . But otherwise a minimum of 12 months

Estimated Processing Time shown on the Government website is 12 months ( Both Inland & Outland).
But there are special measures on Hong Kong applicants, "Priority processing should be given to family class applications received from legal residents of Hong Kong (whether they are currently in Canada or outside of Canada or in the U.S.)."

My application was submitted in Nov 2020 (inland), Got SA and AIP in June
Now I am still waiting for the background check. ( FYI: HK Gov needs 4 weeks to issue CNCC)
