How long I can stay as a Visitor?

Hi, I am a Spanish national in Canada as a Visitor since 10 Sep 2012. I am not sure how long I can legally stay in Canada. Also I found information from internet as 6 months, but I wanna stay for few more months. Do I have to apply for a visitor visa extension? Thanks.

If there is only an entry stamp in your passport, with no date written under it, you were admitted for 6 months. If you want to stay longer, you have to apply for an extension. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp
