how long does it take to get reply after passing citizenship test

Hello everyone how long does it take to get reply from cic after you passing the test i look it online is still saying in process i know some people talk about decision made does that main they haven't made decision thank you

This seems to vary wildly between CIC offices. And even for the same CIC office it can vary.

eCAS updates can also vary. My eCAS went from "we sent you a notice to take the the test" straight to "you became a citizen on...". There was no "decision made" for me.

I got mine right after the test. Like I said before, it varies greatly. Seems like Mississauga office will sometimes give out the oath letter on the same day right after the test if you pass. But there have been others from the same office who pass the test but don't get the oath letter on the same day but told that it will come in the mail in a few weeks. There is some theories that if you take the test in the morning, you will get it that day while for people who take it in the afternoon, they have to wait for a letter. Like I said before, sometimes it can vary greatly even for the same office!

3 months to the day after I wrote the test. Oath is in January.
