How long does it take for CPP-O to reply?

Hi All,

A quick question about the response time of CPP-Ottawa for Case Specific Update/Enquiries? Does anyone know how long it usually takes?

Would appreciate a response.

They never replied me, because they are too busy in finishing application in 2-3 months. So, they don;t waste alot of time on replying to enquiries which is good. I asked for address change twice I believe and it never got changed on my online status so i had to change it while i landed.

Or may be my enquiries were no too important or something they couldn;t answer. But i would say if they will answer it might take a week.

Thanks for your response. Actually I got an email from CPP-O yesterday so the total response time in my case was 24-36 hours which isn't too bad. I guess I got lucky
I hope they process my case as fast as they did yours (which seems unlikely though coz its already 5 months for me and they are still doing security and criminality checks) but hoping for the best.

Yeah, that's good. I don't understand this eh? Alot of people i talked to on this forum mentioned they have to wait for RCMP certificate for almost 2-3 months before it can be sent to CPP-O. And I got it in the same week i applied and teh next day it was out to CPP-O. I don't know why some RCMP certificates take so long. Of course if the name gets a hit then yeah it would take long. But still it's a big gap considering that everything is online these days. And we all here are from different countries and have different names which probably have never been registered in RCmp before and still for alot of applicants it's taking awful long time. I remember back three months before i was on teh forum and there was a thread and everybody was sayin that their application for RCMP certificate is going to take alot longer than they thought. Oh well, Anyways.
