How long does it generally take to sponsor kid to canada?

Anybody know how long it will take for kid to be sponsored in canada if both parents are permanent residents of canada but the child was born putside of canada?

and on what visa can the kid stay in canada until his PR comes through?

Depends on which Visa office or country parents belong to and child is staying. Child can stay in canada as Temporary resident if TRV approved.but you can not apply Inland for only child.
