Hi,
I applied for my spouse's immigration from New Delhi VO. Since she was in Canada on tourist visa we sent her passport to CPC Ottawa when we got the passport request. Does anyone know how long it takes them to return the passport with PR visa?

So the application is being processed in New Dehli but you sent the passport to Ottawa? Did the request say you could send it there?

Yes, this is what the email said:

Submitting your passport(s) in Canada (CPC-O)
If you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa (“CPC-O”). You are required to send your passport(s) together along with a copy of this letter by mail or courier to the following address:
CPC – Ottawa
PO Box 9780
Ottawa, ON, K1G 4B9

Makes sense...I don't have a decent answer, but for people who are being processed in Ottawa it's sometimes taking as long as a couple of weeks for a standard COPR to be sent. I suspect a PPR getting a visa would take at least that long, by the time the package actually gets opened and dealt with, if not a little longer.

They give you the option to send it to CPC-Ottawa if the applicant is currently in Canada, even if the are outland applications. We sent ours (Singapore VO) on November 9 and it was received November 10. Haven't seen any updates and the return Express Post haven't been activated. The letter says to anticipate about 30 days, but going through all the spreadsheets, it looks like about 18-24 days for the passport/visa to be returned, but that's a guess on my part.

Thank you for the replies. My wife travels back to India on the 25th of December. I am hoping she gets the passport back by then.

Buletruck, did your Xpresspost status show "delivered". Mine is showing "out for delivery" for the last 3 days. When I contacted Canada post they said it is most likely delivered to a mail sorting facility at CPC Ottawa so that is why the status was not changed to "delivered".

It did show it was delivered. It didn't show a signature, but did indicate it had been delivered to a facility with general receiving (no signatures).

Hi

Does anyone help me on sending application to CPC-Ottawa for stamping of PR visa ( Outland ) . What documents will be needed to do it and how much time it take to get back ?

Thanks
