How long do you guys think will OPNP Master/PHD stream last?

Do you guys know how long is it suppose to go on for? They are pilot programs after all, and B.C.'s Master stream is already shutting down.

Also how exactly does the process work? They have stated that the 1500 cad fee is non refundable, and all completed applications are accepted. If the annual limit is reached, then applications are processed in the next year.

So for example, Lets say in Year 1, they had 1500 successful applications.

1000 were processed. (1500-1000 = 500)

In Year 2, they had another 1500 successful applications.

500 from Year 1 were processed. 500 from the current applications were processed (1500-500 = 1000).


Does this mean year 3, they will only focus on Year 2 applications? Wont the backlong keep building up until the program falls down under the weight of 1000s of applications?

I dont see any need why anyone would worry so much about the future. If you consider yourself lucky enough to qualify for a Canadian PR, just jump on the first opportunity.

actually I'm applying for fall2013 admissions. A 2 year program will end in 2015, so that's why I'm asking around to see if the option will still be around come 2015.
