How long do you get to send passport after PPR?

I am going to Canada next month to visit my boyfriend but I am worried that I will get my PPR when I am away? How long do you get to send it off- can you get an extension?

Usually 30 days but you can get an extension by providing valid reasons.

Also, if you get your PPR while you are in Canada, you can directly send it to the Ottawa office

I got my PPR today!!!! If I enter Canada in July as per my holiday- as a permenant resident- am I allowed to leave again in August and return properly in October?

You can do ur landing on 18th July then provide your friends address who will receive your pr card on your behalf and then he can mail it to you and you can come back in October (using your pr card). If you don't receive your card by that time then you can apply for travel document and travel to Canada.
