How long Canadian Embassy can hold my passport???

Hello everyone. I was on interview in Canadian Embassy in Ukraine on 24th November about my application on Federal Skilled Worker Program. They took my passport and still hold it and do not made any desicion. Is any ideas how long they can or may hold my passport and when they must make decision after interview?

Generally around one month. Send a email to them for the status.

Still nothing.....I called them couple time, and guy told that may be an investigation going on....what can thay also check?

Will embassy answer if I ask them about details of processes with my application. Like what and how the checking right now, how long it can take etc...
