How long can I stay in Country after work permit expires?

Hello everyone!

My application to extend work permit got refused, so my work permit expires on 15 Feb. My Boss says I can stay 30 days in country after work permit expires? is that true?

My permit has a 'must leave the country by xxxxx' in the written section of it. Have a look on your permit and see if it lists the date.

Otherwise, no. You cannot stay past your expiry date without changing your status.
