How long between submitting online application and Biometrics letter received?

Hi all,

I will apply online on Monday, as I have to collect my new passport then. Does anyone knows how long it will take to receive a biometric letter upon application?

Can I schedule appointment in any VAC?

1 day after you submit the TRV the request for biometrics will be sent out. Better wait for the letter first.

Many thanks! So if I submit the application on Monday, allegedly I would get the letter on Tuesday? And I could book at any VAC in Europe?

Yes. I'm not sure where you are from but once you get the letter book an appointment to the VAC where you are from.

Many thanks for your advice. I'll submit online tommorrow from Portugal. Will the letter come by post? How long should I wait for it?

The letter will be sent via email since you are applying online. You need to print the letter and bring it with you to the VAC once you made an appointment.
