Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello everyone,

My PR (Aug 10, ITA, outland) has been approved recently. I am currently working in a job in my home country. I am hoping to do my landing in the May/June. However, I don't have a job offer in Canada and wish to return back to my home country and work in my current job till I get a offer in Canada. Can someone tell me if it is a problem to return to home country after landing and if not, if there is a specific period of time I should stay back in Canada before I return back to me home country,

Many thanks in advance.

Theoretically the next flight after crossing the immigration (Stamp of PP).

true but are advised to organise PR card which needs to be mailed to a Canada address else without PR card may have issues travelling back into Canada

No issue if you return after landing , but the PR will take maybe 2 months to be issued, if you have any relative or friend that can receive it and mail it to you it will be ok, also note that PR visa stamped on your passport is a 1 time entry, so if you're planning to travel to Canada before getting your PR it will be difficult, there's a work around to request a document from your home country VO, but maybe it will take some time.

Also, remember that in order to retain your PR status, you must live in Canada for at least 2 out of the 5 years following your landing.

The answer is Immediately. Although without a PR card (to be mailed to a Canadian address 6-8 weeks after), you will need PRTD in order to return Canada.

To be precise, fail to live in Canada 2 out of 5 years may result in losing PR status as long as PR status is valid, not just after landing. And you don't automatically lose PR status after absent from Canada more than 3 years in 5 years. This has to be determined in an adjudicate

As a side note: I myself didn't go through the experience but according to other forum posts, finding a job without being in Canada to attend actual interviews etc is quite hard.

Yes - what I meant was they start counting the five years after you become a PR, i.e. following your landing. The PR card will only be valid for that period.

Absolutely.
