How long before I hear anything back?

Hey guys,

I sent off my application and it was received by them 2 weeks ago today, I was just wondering when I will hear back from them regarding my client ID etc, and how will they contact me?

Also, I applied in family class to the Canadian office in Toronto Mississauga I believe that's how it's spelt?

The current time is 35 days give or take a few weeks or days. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp If you are lucky you might get an AOR before then but not guaranteed.

Actually it depends on the number of loads they are handling, like mine i did not receive any AOR. I got the decision to sponsor after 3 months but others receive earlier than mine. Then the Letter about the decision was sent 3 days after. That's where you can find the UCI number (sponsor) & File number (applicant). AOR stands for Acknowledgement of Receipt. Not all applicants receive AOR though. So don't worry...

Hi Lukemulholland,

When you complete your application there is a section ask you what method do you to communicate? by mail or email? I put down email and I got my AOR through email.
