how long before a landed immigrant can sponsor mother for pergnancy ?

This is the first time i open a topic in this section!!!

we are planning to have our baby in canada hopfully , if we land at my wife 7th month of pregnancy would thiere be enough time to apply for a visitor visa for her mother to help her with pregnancy ?


1-I can show proof of funds in my bank account but i will not have a job by then ?

2-will I have to wait until i get the PR or i could apply as soon as i land ?

Her mother can apply for a visitor visa at any time. You don't have to be landed.

If you are asking about a super visa, then you won't be able to apply until after landing and until you can show you are earning income from Canadian sources that meets the low income cut off.

so do you advice my mother in law apply after we get our permenant residency card or once we land ? which would be a stronger case for her so she not be refused

our main reason for her to come is to attend my wife pregnancy and help her afterwards .

how do you recommend we approach this ?

Whether your wife's mother is approved for a visitor visa or not really depends on the evidence she is able to provide about herself (e.g. ties to her home country) - not about you.

No - they certainly won't compensate. You need income from Canadian sources (a job in Canada).
