Hello all,

Searched a bit but couldn't find anything. I'm wondering if anybody know any info on if/how do the CIC round work experience duration.

My last work experience has been from 04/Nov/2013 to 16/Jul/2015. So that's a few days over 20 months. Is this considered 2 years for calculating the CRS/ FWP grid points?

I'm asking in order to know which NOC code am I safest to apply under. This is because my work history has been very diversified in different fields so I need to know which NOC code is it safest to apply under as far as getting detailed employer reference letters are concerned.

Anyone know if work experience is rounded up or down for point calculation purposes?

Cheers :)

That would be one year.

Then it is rounded down. Are you sure of this information?

Provided you worked for at least 30 hours/week,

On the FSW grid, that will fetch you 9 points for 1-2 years of experience.

On the CRS, that will count as 20 months of full time experience.

The system does the calculations on your behalf for CRS purposes and there is no rounding off.
