How is fingerprint notice sent? by mail or email?

Hello Seniors,

I submit my citizenship application in Sep. I plan to have a trip to hometown and during that time, i could not receive mail. Just would like to check that if CIC need my fingerprint, how they will inform me?

By mail, or email, or even a call?

Anyone recently or before covid receive fingerprint request? Help needed! Thanks.

IIRC posters said they received the request in mail. They had to take this physical proof the the office, where only then they would take the poster's fingerprints.
