How I apply for Re-Entry Visa?

recently I applied for an extension for my study permit In my passport it says that No of entries is multiple
but after i received my extension permit by mail I saw the phrase “This Does Not Authorize Re-Entry''
what should i do before I go for vacation outside Canada?
Expiry date of the study permit: 02-2016
I am planning for a vacation in spring

r u from a visa exempt country? if not then u have a study permit and a visa which r different documents. study permit is ur authorization to legally stay in canada and a visa is a document that lets u enter canada......so study permit cannot be used to enter canada where as a visa will let u enter canada ..if u have a valid visa ur good to go. if u have a valid study permit my expired visa then u cannot enter canada just on the basis of study permit u will need to apply for visa.

I am from Algeria
can I apply for visa online? if yes which category should I choose? or should I apply in my home country?
If I go for a short visit to USA just with my valid study permit is that possible?
