How early can i apply for my work permit extension ?

Well, the subject expolains itself. i applied for an extension last year and i did it 90 days before my expiry date.

Can this be done even before that ? my work permit is expiring in october and would it be ok if i apply for an extension now , provided i have the extended offer letter from my employer ?

The earliest is 90 days before the expiration date. According to the cic customer service i talked to, it cant be earlier than that.

but when we apply for an extension, the system does not prevent u from applying even now.

i have a friend of mine who has applied in december 2014 even though his work permit is expiring in July 2015 .
