I need a specific answer. Pay stubs can help you calculate hours. T4 forms proves that you were paid; EI and Income tax was deducted by lawyer and you were not self employed. Employment reference Letter: Yes it can prove both hours and a year completed but I need concrete answer.Aguntupalli said:UR PAY STUBS ,

They look at start date, end date, and if your hours are more than the required. Pretty simple.Goku said:How does VO determine whether 1 year is completed or not ??

Correct. Unless there are red flags (e.g. major out of country travel), they would not dig deeper.kushari said:They look at start date, end date, and if your hours are more than the required. Pretty simple.
Read in thread that some people got rejected because they were short of 1-2 days for completion of 1 year. That's why I want to know how they figure out that they were short of 2 days.thisisauser said:Correct. Unless there are red flags (e.g. major out of country travel), they would not dig deeper.
Yes Reference letter said I worked 40 hour but I was working around 50 hours a weeks for couple of months. All leave were paid. But how they confirm that all leave were paid or not ?LPS said:Does your reference letter state that you worked full-time (30+ hours per week) for more than 12 months? Was all leave paid? If so, then I don't see the problem. Pay stubs are optional; I certainly didn't submit any.

I am applying in next few weeks since I'll gain 1 year of experience on May 6.
I have T4 and NOA for 2013. Do I have to send them all my pay stubs for this year, or reference letter saying hours and pay will be good enough?
You mean for Jan 2014-May 2014 ? If so then just attach last paystub which will have YTD income. No harm in sending a copy of all paystubs.
Thanks
It's assumed that any full-time position includes a reasonable amount of paid leave, and they do allow for it. Pay stubs might be useful to them in certain cases, for example someone who works irregular hours to demonstrate how many total hours they worked. An allowance for a reasonable period of vacation time will generally be made in calculating the period of qualifying work experience (e.g., a two-week period of paid vacation leave within a given 52-week period in which the applicant was engaged in qualifying work experience).
