I am about to put in an application for the spousal PR as far as I know, it seems to be a two step procedure

1) fill the forms make a package and submit to the Mississauga office for Outland applications

2) Once the eligibility is determined they will ask you to create an online account on the cic website and attach the PCC, Background declaration ( schedule A ) form and medical etc
a. How long does it take for them to send the AOR and request to attach the schedule A ?
b. Does the schedule A ( background declaration ) need to be filled in by the sponsor too or just the spouse who is being sponsored ?

3) Is there a separate thread that is there where I could see all the timelines ?

also people talk about New Delhi Visa office, Is the file transferred to India after initial assessment ?

Lots of questions! This is how the process went for us...outland Irish applicants.

So you will submit your application to Case Processing Center in Mississauga, as you said. Once they have opened it and determined everything they need is there, you will get AOR1. The time frames for people to receive this vary hugely. Lately, they seem to be backlogged and behind, so you can expect it anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks.

Once you get AOR the next thing that happens generally is sponsor approval. Then you will get medical request, request to submit Schedule A and police check request. It is really Impossible to say how long. It differs by application and it depends how busy they are.

Schedule A is filled out by the applicant only.

The Visa Office it will be transferred to after all documents have been submitted varies by which country you are applying from. Generally the files are transferred to VO only after CPC Mississauga has everything they need from you.

There are a lot of threads. There are threads by month of applications, you just have to search.
