Hi, I applied for citizenship in May 2022.
I got a fingerprint request and submitted my fingerprints in December 2022.

I assumed that they must have received my application and thus sent me the fp request.

So I've tried to find my application status here https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html
but I can't find my application.

I'm not sure if I've received AOR. IRCC email it, right? What would be the email subject? What does it look like?

Thank you!

You should have received an e-mail from an ID ending with "cic.gc.ca" with a PDF attachment. The attachment has the line "This is to acknowledge receipt of your application for Canadian Citizenship."

AOR stands for Acknowledgement of Receipt. Check your spam, deleted emails directory for e-mails from "cic.gc.ca". If you don't find the AOR e-mail, call IRCC to get your application number to sign up for your tracker (link in signature). Your FP request e-mail may have your application number as well

You're right! I found the email with the AOR pdf attached. I received it in May 2022.
Thanks!
