How do you prove residency obligations have been met?

I am planning to immigrate to my province next month and try find a job. Assuming I will have to renew my PR and prove my successful residency for 2 years, or apply for citizenship after 3 yrs, please suggest how to display your residency fulfillment. Do I need a lease copy, or tax copy or what?
Basic question .. but I have absolutely no idea about it

So the pnp pr is valid for only 2 years? After that you have to proof that you didn't left the province? Never heard of this rule before? Is it something new?
