How does CIO Sydney request additional missing documents for incomplete applications at the initial stage?

Do they email or mail you to tell you that your application is returned to you because it is incomplete and you need to provide the following missing documents?

I was asked for additional documents via post. This was approx. 1 month post receipt of my AOR.

I understand but did they email him that there are documents missing AND sent the application back OR did they just mail the application back?

My concern is that if my application is incomplete and they sent it in the mail it can be lost! They have my email though but I didn't receive anything yet

My first application to CIO-NS, they returned it after 2 weeks due to wrong payment method and I missed a signature on one form. But they mailed back the whole application package to me. i re-sent the whole package back after fixing the errors 1 week afterwards.

No email - just a letter included in the returned application package noting the deficiencies why it was returned.

Yes I put my email in the application.

I would understand that CIO did not notify me by email when they returned my application the first time. Technically, they have not 'received' it yet as it was incomplete. Thought of it as the same as a mail package with incorrect amount of postage - so CIO has not yet put my application information in the system.

I received the AOR-CIO by email after I refiled the application, and since then, all correspondence was via email except MR.

CIO just returned my complete application package to my representative. I don't think CIO sent email first because as "ragluf" said, CIO hasn't received application technically and they did not enter our information in to their system at that point of time.

Sarayu,

They had asked me for Birth certificates; which i submitted immediately, however I haven;t heard from them since .

Also every 4 months I heep sending French test certificates. Hope this helps.
