I recently received the GC , so nor keen on Canada PR (It has taken more than 15 months) - I got medical request yesterday

Let me know what is the process? Will I get any money back (pun intended) ???

hi ADA ,did u got any response from buffalo office.....also i will suggest u to go ahead with ur application....most of the companies in canada preferred PRs then work permit holders....it will widen ur area...rest its ur choice...u can send email to buffalo office to withdraw your application

I asked someone on what you should do and he said that you have to mail them a letter. Make sure that you do receipt confirmation so there is no way they can come back and say they did not receive such a letter.

If you have gotten medical request, then you won't get your application fees back :(.

But if you have paid your RPRF then you will get that back (he thinks).

Congratulations on GC, it looks like many (not all) that I know who applied for Canadian PR really would rather have a GC, so congratulations. You are very lucky.

As has been said you will write them a letter requesting withdrawal. If your online status does not show in process yet you will likely get your money back. You might also want to consider continuing with your application as a backup plan. Landing and coming back to the US will get you 3 years option of permanent residence in Canada.
