Being accused of misrepresentation, be it truthfully or falsely, is a thing I really want to avoid as it may potentially ruin my dream of studying in Canada.

So, how do I make sure that my documents are genuine?
- I have my original degree certificate in my native language and the one translated by a sworn translator.
- I have my letter of appointment from my employer bearing our company's letterhead, address, phone number, and website, and signed by the CEO.
- I also have my payslips, but they can only be accessed electronically and be downloaded in PDF form.
- I'm also sent bank statements every month but also in PDF form.
- My letter of admission is also in PDF form as the university I got admitted to doesn't mail printed LOA

I haven't submitted them yet as I want to make sure there are no typos, no mistakes in ticking the checkboxes and picking the options in application forms, and make sure all documents are the real deal. Also, I'll be applying online through CIC website.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Genuine documents is the most important part; the next part is making sure that every statement you make in the forms is accurate and true. There are some big questions - like "have you ever been denied a visa or permit...to any country" or "have you ever committed, been arrested for, charged with, or convicted of a criminal offense."

Some people make mistakes with these questions. I've read many examples of people here applying for a study permit thinking that their visitor visa refusal didn't need to be mentioned because it wasn't a study visa. Sadly that person, with a scholarship in an MSc program, was banned for five years. Others, having committed a criminal offense some time ago, paying a fine, and getting a clear criminal record check, failed to declare that they had committed the crime, been arrested for it, charged with it, and had made amends to the point that it was off their record.

These checks come up with IRCC reviews your background with the national police agencies and other government departments in your home country or country of residence.

Also make sure you don't misrepresent things - if the letter from your employer is genuine, does it accurately describe your work? It hasn't been inflated - maybe you were just an analyst but it calls you a manager?

It's good you're taking extra care here. Just make sure everything is truthful.

Are speeding tickets crimes please? This is the only fine I've paid lol but serious question nonetheless. I can tick NO correct?

It depends on the ticket, because after a certain speed, you're driving without due care and attention which is a serious issue if that is what is written on the ticket. Ask a lawyer.
