All:

I am Renewing my Canadian Permanent Residence Card because mine is about to expire. The instruction guide for application to Renew Canadian residence card states that I need the following:

-Income Tax assessments issued by Canada Revenue Agency for two (2) years within the past five (5) years

May I please know how I can get the Income Tax assessments issued by Canada Revenue Agency for two (2) years within the past five (5) years?

Would it be enough to send them copies of my Canadian Tax returns which I do have for the past 3 years?

The NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT is a pale blue fading to white single sheet of paper that CRA sends you after they have received and assessed your tax return. It gives a breakdown of your Income, Deductions, Net income, taxable income, Federal and Provincial taxes and a number of other deductions and credits....basically shows you how CRA arrived at the amount of tax you pay or refund due. If you submitted income tax forms you will already have received this. I am not sure who you would ask for additional copies, but you might try www.cra.gc.ca/myaccount. There are just two phone numbers listed on the assessment form. 1-800-959-2221 to get copies of forms and publications or 1-800-665-0354 which is for hearing or speech impaired (Mon-Fri, except holidays, 8:15am - 5:00pm year-round) Good Luck.
Good Grief...there must have been a PACK of dogs going after your paperwork!!!!
