I'm an international student studying in Windsor Ontario. I just finish my first year of school, and I just realized the the date of birth on my passport does not match the date of birth on my birth certificate, the year and month are the same but the day is different. The consulate made an error when they issued my passport. The date on my passport is used for all the documents I use in Canada including the Study permit and SIN number. I contacted my consulate and they told me they can stamp my passport with the correct date of birth. I also have my birth certificate as proof of the date of birth. I would like to know if I can fix my study permit with the correct date of birth in one of the CIC offices. Am I required to get any additional documents such as a letter from my consulate mentioning the date of birth change on my passport ?
