How do EE applicants know of their Visa offices?

I've often seen EE applicants either post on a thread or in the immigration tracker that their VO is New Delhi, Ottawa. How do you know this information?

Two ways of knowing it for sure: either ordering the GCMS notes (later in the process) or finding that out while raising a CSE (they respond by saying to contact your visa office as well).

Thank you! Given that I've applied from outside of Canada, and with just 8 days since AOR, I cannot order GCMS notes or even raise a CSE. I will probably just assume the way kryt0n did. I guess in my case, it would be the New Delhi Visa Office (grr).

That's what I did. But...err...it's...still 6 months for most applications even if my VO is in Delhi, right?

Not always the case. Russian applications are allocated either to Moscow or to Warsaw with no visible logic behind it.

Moscow is the capital of Russian federation and Warsaw in Poland is normally taking some of the countries that belonged somewhere in the past under Soviet Union. So that one is rather correct.

What are you talking about? I really don't understand your comment.
I wrote about RUSSIAN applicants exclusively not those from post Soviet countries.
So some Russian citizens get their applications reviewed in Moscow while others in Warsaw with no obvious reason for that. What does it have to do with capital or post Soviet Union?

And Poland as far as I know is responsible for following:

Armenia, Belarus, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Tajikistan , Uzbekistan

They shall do all PR from Russia, but it seems that they might be overloaded, so some do end up in Moscow, which normaly do just temporary visa for the following:

Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan

So the obvious reason is workload redistribution for VO in the region.

I have also seen case of somebody that was put under Paris, because he or she did studies over there in the past. Yet that person does not reside in France now and neither in one of the countries that belongs under Paris VO.

Yes. And what I am saying that there is no way for them to determine where the file goes to. So it's absolutely random.

They still try to put you somewhere where you have / had connections. I did not see on this forum any case where application was put to a different visa office where applicant did not have any connections at all.

Warsaw should be the correct one and Moscow does not deal with PR. But sometimes (if Warsaw is overloaded), they might ask for other VO that is in some way close to the applicant.

I myself have certain chance to end up in Paris instead of Vienna (or even in VO of my husband). So I am kind of curious where will it be.
