I was inviting my uncle to come to visit us in Canada and he submitted his application for TRV through an agent. Later I was told his TRV was denied cos of his marital status. Apparently, he was preparing to get a divorce with his wife. But when his marital status was still married when the agent submitted his application, but they got divorced afterward. According to him, his visa application was denied of this non-truthful marital status information.
I mean, really? How can CIC even find out his true marital status? Shouldn't this information be confidential to him/his wife and the registration/admin authorities in his home country?
